Treasure Chests

We made our own Treasure chests with our buddy class.They helped us with our work.My buddy was Dementric he was fun.I put little pieces of news paper on my treasure box.Because if i didn't i wouldn't finish.I like my treasure chest Because it has stripes on it the coulour of the stripes are purple the colour behind the stripes are orange and it was made by me and Dementric it was fun making it.We make lots of stuff in room 4.Zoe has finished her treasure chest.We put gliter on our treasure chests it took a long time for us to finish it took us about 3weeks to finish.We made our treasure chests to show the school for our item.Our treasure chests where made out of paper mache.We painted them.they are all finished and painted they are all diffrent colours. Celebration

The "Woodville  School World Rugby Cup Celebration", was a great success. Each class put on an item about their adopted team. Well done.
We now have two weeks holiday.

Last night it was Beautiful because it was snowing. My Dog was Covered in White cold Snow and After That I Played in it.Then My big brother Said do you want to make a snow man.Also do you no what he did He tricked me Finally I was going inside and he threw a Snow ball At Me.

Ruby Was waiting four her dad when the bell just  range.Then she had to go to Rugby Trails.Then the game was finished and They had to huddle up into a bunch.Also She had to go and see who was on the ist.She was Terrified because she wasint on the list.Then she Also had to go home and she didint talk in the car. Then She Got home and went Shrat in to her room.Then She decided to go four a lovely run befour tea.

Cup Cakes

Last day of term 2 today. Mrs Davidson has been helping Ben this term, and she made these lovely cupcakes for the class. Thanks Mrs Davidson.

Read around the alphabet.

We had a read around the alphabet competition in room 4. Each student made their own poster. The class voted the results were: 1st, Jade, 2nd, Isobelle, 3rd, Jack, 4th equal Zoe and Anahira.

Term 2 oral language

This term the children have had turns at bringing a newspaper clipping to talk about to the rest of the class. Cleveland worked hard to present her work in an interesting way. Mrs Wiri

We  talked   about  rugby  world  cup  2011  and  School  productions with our buddy class room 9. We did a brain storm about productions. by Bronson

Mt Tarawera.

We are  learning about Volcanoes. We wrote a book about Arapeta and Mt Tarawera. Arapeta ran away and called his family when the volcano erupted.  Jack and Ivy are reading the story.

CrossCountry.

Today all of the fist second third People went to the Cross Country.Dylan came second in all of the schools.The Eight and nine year olds went around the Block.

Netball

Well done to the Room 4 girls Zoe, Ana, Reana and Isobelle. Thanks to the parents for helping.

After school I went to watch the girls play netball. Woodville School had three teams playing. The girls from Room 4 were in a winning team. Well done. Loni is a great coach. Mrs Wiri.

Yesterday we played T Ball at the Bush T-Ball Tournament. Ivy- Maire was very good at hitting the ball.

Yesterday we went to the marae . The marae is by kohunga. We left at lunch time to go to the marae. We saw the carvings Nana dot done the carvings. I thought the Te ahu a Turanga. It was cool I gave hongi’s to Room 6. The meeting house was called Te Huinga o Nga waka.

Walkathon

Yesterday was the walkathon we walked 6 km long my legs were very sore. I brought my drink bottle with me when Iwalked.It was very hot I was going to have a ice cream but I didn't want to, I had two sausages and one fizzy drink. by Zoe

Today  Manawatu Stu walked to school for I Move. We had a photo before we left. We were having fun with Manawatu Stu. I move is all about prizes and you get a stamp every Wednesday.

We always sing the New Zealand National Anthem at our School Assembly.

Ruby and Ford are two of our school councillors. They lead our school assembly today.

We remember the quake victims

The nation stopped today at 12.51 p.m.  to remember the victims of the earthquake, one week ago. Woodville school had two minutes silence and sant their school song as a mark of respect.
